Cancer is touching all of our lives with alarming frequency. I’m riding my bike 4000 miles for all of the people who have lost relatives and friends in the battle against this terrible disease. A cure won’t come overnight, but the ability to make people aware of the situation and to open their eyes to fight can happen in a heartbeat. This trip gives one the opportunity to do just that.
Future Goals:
The research being conducted in laboratories right now is quickly paving the way for new medications that will hopefully some day cure many of the diseases, specifically cancer, that plague public health today. I would like to be part of that revolution and contribute in the process from lab bench to hospital bedside by working in academic medicine.
