For my 20th birthday, I got Hodgekins Lymphoma. After 8 months of chemotherapy and 14 days of radiation therapy, I was listed as full remission. During that time I had my ups and downs and if it wasn't for all the people who helped me through it, I probably wouldn't be here today. I am biking across the country to thank all those people who make surviving cancer possible. The doctors, the parents, the families, the friends, everyone who plays that vital role of keeping cancer patients in a positive mindset, I am riding for them. I am also riding to foster hope in all those cancer patients who don't see an end to their suffering and show them that cancer will never stop them from acheiving their goals.
Future Goals:
I plan to attend graduate school for a PhD in Medical Physics. After that, I will work in a University setting where I will have direct contact with educational, research, and clinical environments, and make the largest impact I can on the community.
