Two years ago, my grandfather passed away from prostate cancer. He fought through cancer twice before, and basically, all my life, I remember him as my grandfather who keeps beating cancer. He lived a good strong life and I want to honor that life this summer by riding across the country. Also, I am joining the cycling team here at Hopkins this year and feel that pushing myself with something I enjoy will be an added bonus.

Future Goals:
I will be attending SAIS for further studies in International Studies and hopefully will one day work in politics. I am especially interested in economic development and East Asia. I'm not positive what I'd like to be doing in the field, but I'm more interested in policy than the nitty-gritty mathematics, so I'd like to be working with people to try and reach common solutions for some of the world's socio-economic problems.
