HOWDY!! I am a graduate student at Texas A&M University. I am currently studying Biotechnology, and hope to begin medical school the day after our team arrives in San Francisco. I’m currently leaning toward pediatric oncology. Born and raised in Texas, I have grown to love good barbeque, Texas Aggie Football, and the picturesque and endless Texas sky. I enjoy any form of outdoor activity whether it be cycling, canoeing, hiking, fishing, or rowing. On occasion I’ll pick up a guitar and strum some chords in a rock band- Edens Draw. I am currently splitting my time between repairing bikes at BCS Bicycles, scratching my head over microfluidics research, and locating a groovy medically related internship for the spring.

Cancer patients and survivors are some of the strongest and most amazing people in my opinion. I consider it a blessing to be able to give back to this community, as a poor college student, through H4K. I look forward to seeing what lives we might touch through the Hopkins4K, as well as the impact this trip will have on the team itself. I shall be riding for my grandfather, Calvin Miller.
