Throughout my life, I have had many family members and friends that have to battle with cancer. Now that I understand the true effects of cancer, I feel like it is up to me to take a stand in the fight. It was easy for me to say that I supported the fight against cancer, but it wasn’t enough. I joined the 4K because we put this into action. We are not riding across the country to find a cure in 8 weeks, but to educate those who may not have a true understanding of how much of an impact that cancer has on us all. I feel that if I biked 4000 miles across the country, I could get a sense of pain that people with cancer have to endure every day.

Future plans consist of graduating from Elon University with a degree in Psychology. I hope to one day work in the field of child psychology for the F.B.I.
