Trip Leader
Death is difficult enough to deal with; a friend once living, now gone. Cancer complicates the cerebral complexity of loss by creeping, slowly damaging any tissue by any mechanism of its choice. Sometimes cancerous development is obvious, but often it is not. Cancer is an ambiguous shadow cast over the once healthy body; it creates fertile grounds for frustration, sadness, and confusion. For all who have been the subject of such carcinogenic violence, and for all who have felt, with confusion, the impending loss of a loved one, now patient, I am riding across the country.
Future Goals: A happy academic/leader of sorts where I can promote sustainable development, environmental policy, and/or public health on an international scale.
