Like so many others, cancer has affected many people that have been very close to me. The Hopkins 4K has been my way of giving back to the community in the fight against cancer. I was fortunate enough to be able to participate in the Hopkins 4K for Cancer after my freshmen year, and here I am as a senior ready to embark on the journey once again. I learned back then how much of an impact a group such as this can have on the community, and it is the reason that I am participating in this journey once again. I am riding across the country this summer for my grandmother who unfortunately passed away from breast cancer before I was born.

Future goals: I am graduating this spring and headed to grad school next fall. Who knows where I’ll end up after that but I would love to take up a job traveling the world.
