Cancer has affected so many people that I love, and in consequence cancer has greatly impacted me. I feel that there’s nothing more painful than watching people that you love suffer. I’ve lost three of my grandparents to cancer and my grandmother is now currently battling skin cancer combined with a multitude of other diseases. In 2005 I rode for my mother. This year, I’m riding for my grandmother. I hope that I can inspire her to continue fighting as much as the stories of the people I met on my first trip have inspired me to do the trip again.

Future Plans: Graduation! Graduate school in mechanical engineering. I eventually want to get a PhD and become a professor.
