Clinton, IL
Today was our first official century (more than a 100 mile ride) and it went very well, everyone was able to finish the ride in time for Mexican food. A real big thanks to David Courson, a first year 4K Rider, for riding with us since Chicago and paying for dinner in Clinton, your generosity will not be forgotten. Also thanks to last years riders for sending us the care package filled with cookies and trail mix which again was awesome, it made our first century that much easier. We spent our final water break at Larry and Jackie Lubber’s home playing with their grandchildren Cruz and Elena, which was awesome. We drove them around in their go-kart, jumped on their trampoline, and ate up all their fresh strawberries, thanks again!!! Upon our arrival in Clinton we met Mr. Miller and his son Jessie the go-kart king at Dairy Queen, his mother Carla Miller is a 5-year survivor to breast cancer, mad props to her for that great achievement, her story inspires us all.
