Day off
Today was a lazy day for the 4K. We were fortunate enough to be able to sleep in beds at Case Western Reserve University, who also provided us with box lunches for the day. Riders spent the day lounging around the dorms playing pool, ping-pong, and in typical 4K fashion competing in the dollar menu challenge at the local McDonalds (this entails racing to eat every item on the dollar menu at McDonalds). Team morale is quite high these days as we have finally made it through the mountains and will soon be enjoying the flat roads of the Midwest. Some of us will miss the mountains but we will all welcome the easier days to come, assuming that the scorching heat and humidity that we’ve run into eases. The trip has a lot to look forward to in the upcoming weeks but we’ve been focused on enjoying the cities we’ve passed through. Today some riders explored downtown Cleveland and went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame followed by the Cleveland Indians game at night.
