I am participating in the Hopkins 4K for Cancer for a number of different reasons. First is in memory of my grandmother who passed away when I was a senior in high school. She made so many sacrifices for me and my family, and she has always inspired me to dedicate my lives to help the less fortunate in any way that I can. I hope you’re proud of what I’m doing. I’m also riding in honor of my Aunt Lily who is a survivor of breast cancer. She has been cancer free for many years now, and I greatly admire her strength. Last, but not least, I’m riding for my family which has always loved and supported me in everything I do (even in seemingly crazy endeavors such as this). I would not be the person I am today if it weren’t for the strength they have given me and the sacrifices they constantly make for me.
