I'd like to honor the friends and family who have fought cancer, specifically my grandmother, Louise Julia Johnsen Boyka, who passed away when I was seven years old, during a struggle with breast cancer. Though I was very young, I still remember her clearly, as she left a strong and wonderful impression on everyone she met. I love you, Grandma Lou. I'd also like to honor those I have recently lost: Mary Boyka, my aunt; Robert Judd, a close family friend; Martha Lord and Ingrid Praino, incredible mothers of two close friends; and Alan Hanson, who has won his battle.

Future Goals:
I hope to do field research in primate conservation and sustainable development both throughout the next two years of college and after I graduate in 2008. I apparently also plan to convert my existing thighs into solid steel.
