I don’t have cancer. And that is the reason I am on this journey. My grandfather died when I was younger from prostate cancer and a very close friend of mine, Cami, defeated cancer as a young girl. I have seen first hand the struggles and pain that this disease can cause. I want to do everything in my power to help eliminate the risks of cancer in the world. I have always looked up to my friend Cami and others who have fought cancer and survived and have always wished there was something I could do to help others win the battle. When I heard about the Hopkins 4k, I knew it was my chance to make a difference. Knowing the pain and suffering people go through from cancer will drive me when times get hard on the road. It will drive me to do everything I possibly can to make a difference. It will drive me all the way to San Francisco. This ride is dedicated to everyone who has ever felt the effects of this vicious disease directly or indirectly, to my my Grandpa, and to Cami. I’m here to make a difference because I don’t have cancer. But I want to offer help to those that do.
