I am riding because my family and I have seen first hand how terrible this disease is. My Aunt Jo and my family's dearest friend Delma are both survivors of breast cancer. I will carry their stories of hope, and eventual triumph over this terrible disease with me each day I ride. My grandfather died of cancer before I was born, and I will be riding for him and the great times we could have spent together. I also would like to dedicate this ride to my mother who had to endure the loss of her father at the age of 16, and who has now been diagnosed with Parkinsonism and Multiple System Atrophy. I will think of how cancer affected her life early on, and I will ride everyday with hope that her day goes by easier than mine.
