Happy Birthday Dan!
So even though today’s ride was another ride under 80 miles it was tougher than expected because of an uncool headwind. It was also pretty chilly. My new biking jacket definitely came in handy.

We saw a lot of soy bean and corn fields that were flooded. At the water stop after lunch we stopped in Clifton, KS. We ate some sno-cones and some chocolate Blue Bunny ice cream (Happy Birthday Dan!). We also met a lady who was a Presbyterian teacher in town and came up to us just to tell us that she was so proud of us. She heard about us on the radio and on TV! She told us that next year we should stay at her church and they would have a big community picnic for us. We also met the mayor of the next town who came to the gas station on his tractor to fill up. It holds 5 gallons.

The wind wasn’t so bad the rest of the afternoon. The new “team wave” got almost every car we passed to wave back! Good times. Oh! We also passed a buffalo farm. That was fun. Big Day tomorrow!
