Today we rode into Paonia, Colorado. It was a 75 mile day which for us is considered a shorter day. The first 37 miles were awesome, almost all flat or downhill! Then came McClure’s Pass. It’s a steep, three-mile climb, but at least the view was great! The climb was tough, but it felt amazing to get to the top and take pictures with the elevation sign. At the top we met a friendly group that was biking a loop around Colorado. The rest of the ride was fun, we had a some nice, long descents. Tonight we stayed at the United Methodist Church, which was such a fantastic host. They made us dinner down at the park and then some of us walked around the annual Paonia Cherry Days Festival. Then we had a movie night and watched Little Miss Sunshine and Beauty and the Beast, which just further intensified the debate over which is the hottest Disney princess!
